So Sierra and I are playing Dark Ages: Vampire. Earlier in the evening, Sierra and Morgan had made chocolate cupcakes as it is Morgan's last day at pre-school tomorrow. Three extra had been made for Morgan, Sierra and myself, and I'd eaten mine earlier in the evening.
With Morgan tucked up snug in bed, we were gaming away happily and Sierra craved hers (but unlike mine) with Icing. Conversation tid-bits then followed:
What I heard Sierra say: "I'm going to Ice a cupcake in Wikipedia!"
Me: *Funny look* "What was that?"
Sierra: "I said I'm going to ice a cupcake and eat it!"
Laughter follows as I explain odd look.
We talk a little more about the cupcakes... then I remember I have news and in break in conversation the following ensues:
Me: "Oh! I went into KFC today!"
Sierra: "Was it cooked all the way through?"
Me: *Cue funny look*
Sierra: "Your cupcake! I meant your cupcake! Was it cooked all the way through? I'm sorry honey!"
Cue laughter.
Round one!

Arkham Horror IN SPACE!!!!!!
Feb. 7th, 2009 12:35 amSierra, Rew and I just finished playing Battlestar Galactica: Boardgame. It looked simple enough at first - Humans must survive, Cylons will kill you... and there might be a traitor amongst you. And so we faff around a bit, laughing.
And then we realised we were gatting ganked rapidly. And all of a sudden the suspence shot up and we were frantically working together as bets as we could - there's this nasty rule of secrecy. you can hint at your hand... or just outright lie. And sooner or later, the Cylon sleeper agent will awaken and start working to screw you and the others over.
We never got to that point - losing out to the Basestars and Cylon raiders. Nasty nasty.
BUT DAMN WAS IT FUN! Sierra had the old man, I had his son and Rew had the Scotty clone.
And it was a rapid learning curve indeed..... and oh so very fun :)
The feel rapidly took on elements from a certain 1920's horror board game that we also got as a wedding present from 4 wonderful people ;)
There will be a next time ;)
